Welcome!

Hi everyone!  We’re starting off February with a blog hop organized by Tricia Maloney to celebrate her newest book I Love Precut Quilts! published by C & T Publishing.  And it’s not just a blog hop, but there is a giveaway of Tricia’s book too! More about that in a bit…

We love to thumb through new quilting books and love the easy to follow instructions in Tricia’s book – perfect for beginner quilters. More seasoned quilters too will find some fun projects to stitch up in a moment’s notice.

Two of our favourite patterns in the book are:  Paper Lanterns (show left below, would be fun in Camelot Fresh Solids and Mixology), and the Serenity Table Set (shown right, we envision this place setting in Do What You Love).

Tricia is no stranger to Camelot Fabrics.  She has designed and created beautiful quilts for us to showcase our collections at Quilt Market. Pictured below are the quilts she made for our You Are Dino-Mite collection (left, arriving in stores June 2017) and Meadow collection (right, in stores this month!).  Not coincidentally, many of the quilts Tricia has created for us are well suited to precuts :).

Happy Monday everyone!  We hope you are all having a beautiful start to the week.  On to our Moody Monday!

This week we are featuring our Josephine Collection by Camelot Design Studio.  I love how this collection looks overall. It is retro, airy & light and who can resist the pastel purple and gold?

We’re taking all of you for a quick trip to Ireland today for our Fan Friday!

Bernadette used our Take Flight fabric collection by Vita Lane to make a first quilt and than decided to make a second one with all the leftovers.  Sounds familiar!

She cut all her remaining fabrics into 5 inch squares and organized them together.  She recalls: “I find it hard to go totally scrappy so I arranged the squares diagonally according to how many I had of each color.  I have always loved cross stitch , so I made my own cross stitch label. “

She makes lots of quilts and sells them.  “Sew What’s New ” is the name of her little craft business.

Thanks for sharing Bernadette !

Happy Monday everyone!  And this is a special one as it is also Labor Day!

This means that it’s our last chance for a weekend getaway before the summer ends. For students, it is the last chance to organize parties before school starts again. In some neighborhoods, people organize fireworks displays, barbecues and public arts or sports events. The football season starts as well and many teams play their first game of the year during Labor Day weekend.

As some of you may feel sad that we are slowly saying goodbye to summer, I thought of a great collection to feature on this Moody Monday:

I have always added a placemat in my kid’s lunch box because I know they can be messy eaters. Over the years I have noticed that it has become a trend and most schools are now asking for one.  I have always used a Camelot Fabrics print that would represent my child’s favorite character and I decided to share with you the fun I had making this year’s placemat for my little monkey!
